Job Requirements

  • minimum 2 years experience in pastry or baking
  • ability to work well alone and as part of a team
  • ability to follow recipes and company standards
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • availability to work overnight shifts and weekends
  • ability to operate bakery equipment safely
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and health standards
  • positive attitude and good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years minimum experience in pastry or baking
  • able to understand and follow instruction
  • food preparation experience required
  • able to work well with others but also self-motivated
  • able to stand for long periods of time and work in heat
  • must be able to work the overnight shift (8pm-4am Ybor only)
  • must be able to work any time of the day

Job Duties

  • Report directly to the Pastry Supervisor on the shift
  • come to work with clean, neat appearance and in uniform
  • bake off pastry per production sheet
  • follow recipes per company standard
  • mix, prepare and finish pastry per production sheet
  • safely operate mixers, cookie machine and sheeter
  • fill out operations book where necessary
  • maintain La Segunda Bakery's high standards for product quality
  • abide by health department requirements and maintain a clean work area
  • responsible for an assigned clean up task at shift conclusion
  • assist in other duties as assigned by Pastry Supervisor or General Manager
  • communicate with baking team to ensure showcases are properly stocked
  • ensure pastries are fresh and discarded if past due date
  • maintain positive attitude of oneself and entire staff
