Job Description

Uncle Giuseppe's is a renowned gourmet food establishment known for its commitment to authentic Italian culinary traditions. As a leading name in the specialty food industry, Uncle Giuseppe's has built its reputation on delivering high-quality, fresh, and artisanal Italian products, including handmade pasta and mozzarella. The company is expanding its footprint with a new location opening soon in the Cherry Hill, NJ area. This expansion reflects Uncle Giuseppe's dedication to bringing traditional Italian flavors and craftsmanship to new communities, ensuring customers enjoy genuine and fresh products made with passion and expertise. The establishment prides itself on maintaining the highest standards in food quality, customer service, and ingredient sourcing, making it a favorite among food connoisseurs and Italian cuisine enthusiasts alike.

The Pasta/Mozzarella Production Manager role at Uncle Giuseppe’s is a pivotal position responsible for the hands-on creation and oversight of their fresh pasta and mozzarella production. This is not just a managerial role but one that demands a deep understanding and practical expertise in authentic Italian food preparation methods. The manager will work closely with fresh mozzarella curd, skillfully heating and hand-stretching it to create house-made mozzarella that meets the brand's strict quality guidelines. Equally, they will oversee all elements of pasta production, from dough preparation to hand-stretching and shaping various molds to produce authentic, house-made pasta. This role combines craftsmanship with leadership, requiring the manager to ensure production processes run smoothly while maintaining impeccable standards of hygiene, quality control, and customer satisfaction.

This position is ideal for someone with extensive experience in cheese and pasta production who is passionate about upholding traditional Italian culinary methods in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. The Production Manager not only manages the production process but also supervises staff, schedules shifts, and conducts training and interviews to build a skilled team capable of meeting daily production goals. The role involves meticulous record-keeping, managing ingredient usage, batch sizes, and coordinating transfers to other outlets. Attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial to minimize waste and maintain product consistency. Moreover, the manager plays a customer-facing role by providing information about pasta and mozzarella making, enhancing the customer experience with educational insights into these artisanal crafts.

Uncle Giuseppe’s offers a supportive environment where innovation meets tradition, providing employees the opportunity to develop their skills in a culinary setting dedicated to authenticity and excellence. The Production Manager is a key player in bringing Uncle Giuseppe’s culinary vision to life at the Cherry Hill location. While the employment type and salary details are not explicitly stated, this role represents a significant opportunity for individuals passionate about Italian cuisine and food production management to join a respected company and contribute to its growth in a vibrant community.
