Job Duties

  • Prepare special meals or replace products
  • regulate oven, grill, and roaster temperatures
  • thaw food items in refrigerator
  • ensure appropriate food portions, distribution, and garnishing
  • maintain food records
  • monitor food quality and quantity
  • communicate and assist during busy periods
  • inform chef about excess food for specials
  • inform food and beverage staff about rejected products and specials
  • ensure food quality
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards
  • prepare cold dishes
  • assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and training employees
  • comply with safety and company policies
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
  • maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • anticipate and meet guest service needs
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • cultivate positive work relationships
  • support team goals
  • respond appropriately to employee concerns
  • ensure quality expectations
  • stand, sit, or walk for long periods
