Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly
  • Able to lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces repetitively
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
  • Alert to moving vehicles, equipment, or aircraft
  • Able to use radio equipment
  • Willing to wear prescribed uniform and present a favorable corporate image
  • Good communication skills with the ability to speak and be understood clearly
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to use computer systems daily
  • Strong critical thinking skills for troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Basic math skills to process transactions and fees
  • Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Regular and timely attendance at work

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States or Canada as applicable
  • Successful completion of SIDA training for airport security identification
  • One or more years of relevant experience preferred
  • Prior airline or face-to-face customer service experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service as per AGI and airline specific standards
  • Ensure safety and security is never compromised
  • Handle customer interaction efficiently and professionally at ticket counter and gate
  • Make and assist with reservations, preparation, and issuance of tickets and itineraries
  • Compute fares and issue refunds
  • Perform baggage checking and collect excess baggage charges
  • Handle customer concerns and complaints regarding ticketing and baggage
  • Perform lost and found activities and tracing procedures for lost baggage
  • Process claims for damaged or lost baggage and maintain related records
  • Answer inquiries regarding flight schedules, fares, and general travel information
  • Meet aircraft at gate or loading area and perform duties in departure lounges or boarding gates
  • Check passenger tickets and documents for validity
  • Complete arrangements for reservations, standbys, and luggage
  • Determine flight close-out time and complete post-departure procedures
  • Manage flight movement messages between gate, ground handling team, flight crew, and airport vendors
  • Follow procedures for acceptance of Dangerous Goods
