Job Requirements

  • must possess high school diploma or equivalent credential

  • must be available to work various hours and days
  • requires thorough knowledge of fares and schedules
  • ability to handle large sums of money and balance ticket stock with revenue
  • must pass and qualify on skills test for all roles within 30 days
  • must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • must pass background check
  • must pass physical examination

Job Qualifications

  • strong interpersonal skills
  • computer literacy including experience with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • ability to annunciate clearly

Job Duties

  • assist customers with fare purchases and provide information
  • sell single-ride, round-trip, and special event tickets accurately
  • receive, verify, and record cash remittances from onboard sales
  • manage ticket stock inventory and recordkeeping
  • balance ticket sales and cash receipts
  • maintain appropriate cash bank denominations
  • assist in training and onboarding new employees
  • operate train information display system and make train announcements
  • handle lost and found items and respond to related inquiries
  • perform daily banking, accounting, and station activity oversight
  • ensure timely dissemination of train status and coordinate with trainmaster
  • pass and qualify on skills tests within 30 days
  • perform other assigned duties
