Job Duties
- May serve as backup to department manager and typically works opposite shift to manager
- may help prepare department work schedules
- carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws
- assists with inventory control

- uses suggestive selling techniques and advanced product knowledge and experience to meet customer needs and build department sales
- merchandises products effectively
- slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
- complies with department/store operating procedures
- cleans/sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment
- ensures/oversees effective production planning and execution of supporting processes for bakery
- applies advanced knowledge of current trends in beauty for hair care, skin care, and makeup
- may oversee a specific area in deli such as service case, production, cheese shop, or catering
- assists with inventory control and event order management
- serves as dedicated lead for assigned partners, processes, and responsibilities in stores with multiple leads
- serves as backup to produce manager
- trains on new systems, tools, processes, and product roll-outs
- educates customers on preparation/reheating instructions of prepared foods
- cuts, slices, dices, chops food for preparation
- demonstrates ability to function in fast-paced, retail environment
- works with customers attending to their needs
