Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. The company proudly operates iconic brands such as Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment is a major player in creating joyous experiences for families and children worldwide. The company has a deep commitment to safety, fun, and community support, demonstrated by initiatives like the Kid Check program and donations exceeding $24 million to schools and nonprofits. Chuck E. Cheese alone celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, positioning itself as "The place Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®." In recognition of its excellence, Chuck E. Cheese was honored with the "Best in STEM" award in 2025 and was named one of America's Greatest Workplaces, underscoring CEC Entertainment's leadership in innovation and employee well-being.
The role of Party Host at Chuck E. Cheese offers vibrant opportunities for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic, family-friendly environment centered around fun, food, and play. Party Hosts are essential to the success of every celebration, ensuring that birthday parties and events run smoothly and guests have memorable, enjoyable experiences. This position is ideally suited for enthusiastic individuals who thrive on customer interaction and active participation in event management. Party Hosts are responsible for setting up party areas, preparing tables, taking orders, attending to guests, and making sure that the birthday child and their guests have an unforgettable time. The role goes beyond simple tasks; it involves creating an energetic and welcoming atmosphere that embodies the brand's commitment to family entertainment.
CEC Entertainment offers both exempt and non-exempt employment with competitive commission opportunities. Exempt employees can earn commissions ranging from $0.50 to $10.00 per membership sold and $0.15 to $3.00 per Fun Pass sold, while non-exempt employees have commission potentials from $2.00 to $8.00 per membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass. Commissions are paid bi-weekly unless state law requires otherwise. Additionally, the company provides a "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program allowing employees immediate access to their earnings, which enhances employee satisfaction and financial flexibility. Career advancement is strongly encouraged at Chuck E. Cheese, with over 60% of managers promoted from within the organization. This makes the position an excellent starting point for those seeking a long-term career in the entertainment and hospitality industry.
Working as a Party Host involves engaging with guests in a lively and fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting throughout their shift. The work environment can be noisy, with flashing lights and moving mechanical parts, which requires the ability to handle job-related stress and interact effectively with both guests and coworkers. CEC Entertainment maintains rigorous health and sanitation standards designed to protect the wellbeing of employees and guests alike. Reasonable accommodations are available to support employees with disabilities, fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
CEC Entertainment is committed to diversity, inclusion, and creating a welcoming culture where everyone's contributions are valued. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, the company prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected class under federal, state, or local laws. Benefits for employees include medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and 401(k) retirement savings with eligibility for U.S. employees. The company also offers scholarships, flexible schedules, employee referral programs, discount programs, and financial assistance during emergencies through the CEC Cares Fund. Altogether, working at CEC Entertainment means joining a company passionate about delivering fun experiences while supporting the personal and professional growth of its workforce.
