Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. The company operates some of the most iconic brands in the industry, including Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade. These brands have become household names known for creating memorable experiences centered around great food, fun, and family-friendly entertainment. Chuck E. Cheese, for instance, celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, making it a beloved destination for children and families. The brand is committed to providing a safe and engaging environment where kids can enjoy play and food, backed by innovative programs like Kid Check® to ensure child safety. Beyond entertainment, the company also has a strong presence in community support, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. This highlights their commitment to positively impacting the communities they serve.
Peter Piper Pizza complements the entertainment experience by offering quality food in a neighborhood pizzeria setting, where families can enjoy good meals alongside engaging activities. Both Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza emphasize play and physical wellness, promoting motor skill development in children through the fun attractions they offer. Operating nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment demonstrates a significant footprint in the family entertainment and dining market. As a company, they foster a culture that celebrates diversity, inclusion, and fun, ensuring their workforce reflects the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of their guests.
The role of Party Host at Chuck E. Cheese embodies this spirit by directly contributing to the joyful experience of guests, especially during birthday celebrations. Party Hosts are entrusted with the responsibility of preparing party areas, setting up tables, taking orders, and attending to guests to make sure every event is memorable and enjoyable, particularly focusing on the birthday child having an unforgettable experience. This position is ideal for energetic and enthusiastic individuals who thrive in a lively environment and enjoy working with families and children.
Compensation for this role ranges hourly from $16.90 to $17.90, with additional commission potential based on memberships and Fun Pass sales, which varies depending on employment classification (exempt versus non-exempt). For exempt employees, commissions range from $0.50 to $10.00 per membership and $0.15 to $3.00 per Fun Pass sold, while non-exempt employees earn between $2.00 to $8.00 and $0.60 to $2.40, respectively. These incentives are paid out bi-weekly unless otherwise required by state law.
Chuck E. Cheese is also committed to employee well-being and offers a range of benefits including competitive pay, a 50% meal discount during shifts, flexible scheduling, scholarship opportunities, perks and discounts programs, an employee referral program, and the CEC Cares Fund to assist employees in times of personal catastrophes. The company maintains rigorous health and safety standards to protect all employees and guests, underlining their dedication to a safe workplace environment. Additionally, their "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program demonstrates their focus on financial wellness by allowing employees quicker access to earned wages.
Overall, working as a Party Host at Chuck E. Cheese offers a vibrant and rewarding opportunity to join a company that values career growth, inclusion, and making a positive impact through family entertainment. The company promotes from within, with over 60% of managers having started in entry-level positions. This role serves as a great entry point for those seeking a first-time job or a stepping stone to a fulfilling career in the hospitality and entertainment industry.
