Sofive is the home of 5-a-side soccer, a unique and innovative type of soccer center designed to make 'the beautiful game' more accessible than ever before. This growing startup specializes in developing state-of-the-art soccer centers, each equipped with modern sport complexes featuring small-sided soccer fields which cater to soccer and fitness enthusiasts alike. With 22 sites currently in operation and more planned in the near future, Sofive is rapidly expanding its reach, focusing on providing easy access to top-quality, all-seasons soccer facilities. The role of Party Host at Sofive Soccer Centers in Alameda offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about soccer and event management. This position involves overseeing soccer-themed events and birthday parties, ensuring guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience. Responsibilities include managing event setup, guest engagement, and activity supervision alongside cleanup duties. In addition, Party Hosts are instrumental in driving revenue by promoting Sofive's add-on options including extra field time, food and beverage packages, and coaching services. This is a dynamic role requiring someone energetic, reliable, and skilled in customer service, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment accommodating weekend and evening schedules. The pay rate for this position is $18 per hour, reflecting the value Sofive places on dedicated team members who contribute to creating high-quality experiences for customers. This role is ideal for those with event, hospitality, or sales experience who are enthusiastic about sports, particularly soccer, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • prior event or hospitality experience preferred
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs for setup and cleanup

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests, manage event flow, and ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience
  • prepare, clean, and reset event spaces
  • assist with food, beverage, and equipment setup
  • supervise on-field or party activities and support coaches/referees when scheduled
  • promote and upsell Sofive offerings including coaching staff, extended bookings, and party upgrades
  • report guest feedback, issues, or additional needs to the Manager
