As the foremost destination for all things creative, Michaels is dedicated to fueling the joy of creativity and celebration by delivering high-quality merchandise and engaging customer experiences. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while ensuring all events run smoothly and meet company standards.

Additionally, the role entails delivering friendly customer service by assisting shoppers in finding products, answering questions, and providing solutions to enhance their shopping experience. The coordinator also ensures customers receive a fast and efficient checkout experience and supports other operational duties such as truck unloading, merchandise stocking, store recovery tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety and shrink prevention programs. This comprehensive role demands strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to engage positively with customers and team members alike.

Michaels values team members who are energetic, enthusiastic, and capable of handling job stress effectively while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude. Experience working with children and children's events, retail, or customer service is essential, along with good communication and problem-solving skills. Physical requirements include standing for long periods, moving around the store, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy boxes as needed. The work environment is a public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas, occasional outdoor tasks, and work hours that include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Michaels is committed to an inclusive workplace, offering reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities and promoting equal employment opportunities. The total base pay range for this position is $17.25 to $20.30 per hour. Benefits include health insurance options (medical, dental, vision), paid time off, tuition assistance, and generous employee discounts.
