This role, based in the Battle Creek, MI store, is a part-time opportunity focused on planning, coordinating, and facilitating events such as children's birthday parties and craft classes, designed to provide engaging and stress-free experiences for guests. The position involves a dynamic blend of customer service and event management, requiring a friendly and enthusiastic approach to ensure guest satisfaction and adherence to company standards. Team members will engage deeply with customers, assisting with product recommendations, facilitating creative activities, and promoting the store’s programs and rewards. Operational responsibilities include processing merchandise, maintaining store recovery standards, participating in inventory management, and supporting safety and shrink programs. The role demands excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment. Physical requirements for the job include standing for extended periods, physical movement within the store, and manual tasks such as lifting and stocking merchandise. Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • demonstrate and instruct on craft projects and activities like face painting
  • implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks including answering emails and making phone calls
  • adjust event plans based on client feedback
  • create backup plans for events
  • ensure client satisfaction
  • uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
  • help customers shop and locate products
  • provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
  • engage customers in rewards programs and credit card enrollments
  • educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
  • assist with buy online pickup in store and ship from store processes
  • participate in truck unloading, stocking and planogram processes
  • complete merchandise recovery
  • perform store in stock optimization and ad set duties
