The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of multiple concurrent events, demonstrating craft techniques, performing activities such as face painting, and implementing party add-ons like goody bags and balloons in accordance with company standards. Additionally, the role involves administrative duties such as managing communications through emails and calls, adjusting event plans based on client feedback, and preparing for contingencies with backup plans.

In addition to event coordination, this role requires proactive customer service to assist shoppers in finding products, providing a swift and pleasant checkout experience, and promoting the benefits of Michaels’ Rewards program and private label credit cards. The Event Coordinator also supports various operational tasks including unloading trucks, merchandising, restocking, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards. Cross-training in custom framing sales and production presents an excellent opportunity to further develop retail skill sets.

Michaels values its team members and fosters a positive, respectful work culture where individuals are encouraged to be role models and uphold the company’s brand promises. If you have a flair for creativity, a passion for facilitating memorable experiences, and enjoy working with people of all ages, this role offers rewarding opportunities for personal and professional growth within a nationwide retail leader.
