The role offered is at a Michaels store located in S.DG-POWAY, CA, where the focus is on planning, coordinating, and facilitating events such as children’s birthday parties and craft classes. This position is a unique blend of event coordination and customer service aimed at creating fun, engaging, and stress-free experiences for guests of all ages. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing multiple parties and craft events simultaneously, ensuring smooth operations through detailed planning and enthusiastic participation. This includes hands-on activities like face painting and craft project instruction, alongside administrative duties such as communicating with clients and store team members, managing paperwork, and adjusting plans to meet customer needs.

Beyond event coordination, this role involves delivering exceptional customer service through assisting shoppers in finding products, providing quick and friendly checkout experiences, and engaging customers with the store’s rewards and credit programs. The job entails operational responsibilities like unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, maintaining store recovery standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies relating to safety, cleanliness, and shrink prevention. The physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy boxes, and working in various areas of the store, including some outdoor duties.
