Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record (MVR) acceptable to insurance carrier
- ability to operate a vehicle in heavy traffic and drive up to 250 miles per day
- ability to maintain professionalism and courtesy while driving
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to communicate effectively with customers
- ability to lift and move heavy parts (up to 50 pounds)
- capability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms regularly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- ability to communicate effectively with customers in a professional manner
- ability to operate a vehicle safely in heavy traffic
- familiarity with inventory control procedures
- ability to prepare and maintain accurate paperwork
- ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds
- good organizational skills
- knowledge of safety standards and procedures
Job Duties
- Receive shipments and verify both the order and the quantities
- stock incoming orders and assign bin locations for all new parts on a daily basis
- pick parts for counter salesmen
- ensure all returned parts are checked in and invoice copies provided to appropriate counterperson
- help pull, box, label and prepare paperwork for all ship-outs
- assist in preparing and performing annual parts inventory
- assist in annual parts returns
- keep parts area clean and uncluttered
- assist the parts drivers in pulling parts for deliveries
- adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
- take orders for pick-ups or deliveries
- pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors
- unload truck each night and turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts
- return cash or check with proper invoice to cashier office
