Job Description
Duncan Aviation is the largest family-owned maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility in the world, providing comprehensive nose-to-tail services for business aircraft. As a company deeply committed to excellence and innovation, Duncan Aviation takes pride in its highly skilled workforce and state-of-the-art technology to support the aviation industry's unique needs. The company's dedicated team offers unparalleled expertise in aircraft maintenance, ensuring that customers receive top-quality service and safety standards. Situated as a leader in the MRO sector, Duncan Aviation emphasizes diversity and inclusion, fostering a welcoming environment for employees of all backgrounds, nationalities, disability statuses, and military services. This commitment extends further through its status as a Veteran-Friendly Employer, reflecting a corporate culture that values individual experiences and contributions. Duncan Aviation offers competitive benefits from day one, supporting its team members’ health, education, and financial well-being while nurturing continuous growth and development. The company is proud to promote a workplace that encourages learning through in-house training and tuition assistance programs, aiming for long-term employee success and satisfaction.
The Parts Runner is an essential role at Duncan Aviation, responsible for distributing materials and correspondence throughout the entire campus and sometimes to off-site locations. This position requires walking and driving company vehicles to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts, correspondences, and other items. A central component of the job is the use of Duncan Aviation’s internal Radio Frequency (RF) scanning system to verify and document the handling, pick-up, and delivery of these items by scanning barcodes. This task ensures consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in parts management and inventory control processes across all facilities. In addition to delivery and routing responsibilities, the Parts Runner may assist with various other Customer Service Representative (CSR) and warehouse duties such as inspecting incoming parts, pulling orders, packaging shipments, and maintaining organized warehouse operations.
This position demands a strong sense of responsibility, excellent attention to detail, and physical stamina as the Parts Runner regularly lifts heavy items up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. The ability to tolerate standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and sitting for extended periods is also necessary. Given the active nature of the role, the Parts Runner must be comfortable working in environments that may be noisy or subject to temperature extremes. The job requires a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record to operate company vehicles safely. Duncan Aviation-trained forklift certification is also a requirement, and the successful candidate can become eligible for the Shipping and Receiving Auditor designation.
This position offers more than just a routine job; it provides a chance to be part of a renowned aviation company dedicated to excellence in its processes and employees. Duncan Aviation's comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, vacation, holiday, health savings account contributions, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a 50% match on the first 6% contributed. Relocation assistance is available for qualifying candidates, and opportunities for in-house training and tuition assistance support continuous personal and professional development. The Parts Runner role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about contributing to a team-driven company that delivers an experience unlike any other. If you are looking for a position with responsibility, variety, and the chance to grow within a top-tier aviation firm, Duncan Aviation invites you to apply today.
