The role of Receiving Inspector at Signature Aviation is a specialized position within their repair station network, requiring the candidate to retain TECHNICAir Certified Receiving Inspector qualification. This position demands strict adherence to Quality Procedures (QPs) and local work instructions to ensure the highest standards in the inspection of incoming products and consumables. The Receiving Inspector will be responsible for maintaining proper documentation and compliance with company policies, Repair Station Quality Procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). The job also encompasses managing inventory control functions, including ordering, stocking, and tracking parts and supplies critical to the aviation maintenance process.
Working Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, the Receiving Inspector will assist both internal and external customers by meeting their parts and stock needs, including processing over-the-counter sales and returns. Additionally, the role involves supporting inbound and outbound shipments, tool control and calibration requirements, and performing inventory cycle counts. The ideal candidate should maintain a clean and organized work environment and observe all safety, environmental, and housekeeping protocols. Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) related to aircraft parts preferred
- previous experience in supply chain operations and/or inventory management preferred
- forklift operation knowledge preferred
- ability to perform simple math calculations
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to report to work in a regular and timely manner
- initiative and great organizational skills
- basic level proficiency in general inventory, receiving, purchasing, parts sales, shipping, parts returns and tooling
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- two to three years related experience or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
Job Duties
- Retain qualification as a TECHNICAir Certified Receiving Inspector
- comply with all applicable Quality Procedures (QPs) and local work instructions
- inspect all incoming products and consumables as described in the Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals
- maintain and file records in accordance with company policy, Repair Station Quality Procedures and FARs
- order, stock, and inventory all parts and supplies for the facility
- assist both internal and external customers with parts and stock requirements
- assist external customers with over the counter parts purchases
- process returned parts and cores accordingly
- assist with inbound and outbound shipments as required
- assist with tool control, including calibration requirements and tracking
- assist with year-end inventory and weekly cycle counts as needed
- observe all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping rules and policies
- maintain a clean and organized workstation
- perform other duties as assigned by management
