Job Duties
- Register guests
- make reservations
- prepare daily reports
- balance transactions
- conduct security walks
- initiate and complete the End of Day process
- complete the Night Audit checklist daily
- balance miscellaneous revenue and postings
- prepare and distribute Daily Flash Report
- transfer master or house accounts
- run morning reports
- complete reports requested by management
- provide courteous and efficient guest service
- maintain telephone switchboard operation
- answer guest inquiries
- communicate effectively with hotel departments
- assist with breakfast setup
- respond to guest requests
- maintain confidentiality and security
- document guest requests and complaints
- be aware of rates and promotions
- be familiar with in-house groups
- take room reservations and quote rates
- be knowledgeable of front desk system
- log and deliver packages
- know hotel property and local attractions
- complete check-in and checkout
- use brand service tools to resolve concerns
- restock front desk supplies
- perform other duties as assigned
