The role of Concierge at Planned Companies is a part-time position based in Annapolis, Maryland, offering a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour. This shift operates on weekends, specifically Saturdays and Sundays from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, making it an ideal role for individuals looking to contribute during these hours. The Concierge is the first point of contact for tenants, guests, and vendors entering the building. This role demands an individual who is not only courteous and knowledgeable but also possesses a genuine passion for providing a warm and welcoming environment.

As part of the responsibilities, the Concierge will greet and announce visitors, provide clear directions, and maintain strong relationships with tenants to personalize their experience according to their unique preferences, lifestyles, and expectations. This could include scheduling reservations at local restaurants, businesses, hotels, or entertainment venues and organizing on-site events that foster community engagement within the property. Additionally, the Concierge will assist tenants and guests by offering referrals and directions to local entertainment, dining, shopping, and sports locations, as well as arranging transportation services.

Operationally, the Concierge plays a critical role in the smooth running of front desk duties such as documenting and securing mail, managing deliveries, and overseeing vendor services within specified areas. They are also responsible for answering telephones, monitoring the lobby, and controlling access through keys and access cards. The position requires multitasking capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a high level of professionalism, ensuring that the property remains orderly, safe, and welcoming.

Job Requirements

  • Three or more years of concierge front desk experience
  • Desire and passion to provide a warm and welcoming hello to everyone
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of local attractions and establishments
  • Polite, friendly, self-assured and able to multitask with good time-management
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs when needed

Job Duties

  • Greet, announce, and provide direction to tenants, guests, and vendors upon entering the building
  • Develop and maintain relationships with tenants to provide individualized and unique experiences based on their personalities, lifestyles, needs, and expectations
  • Schedule reservations and appointments at restaurants, businesses, hotels, and entertainment venues
  • Plan and organize on-site events
  • Provide direction, referrals and help access local entertainment, dining, retail shopping, sporting events, tourist attractions and car services
  • Document, secure and track mail, deliveries, and vendor services at designated areas
  • Answer telephones, monitor lobby as well as maintain and control keys and access cards
