As a Van Delivery Driver at Gordon Food Service Store, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are delivered courteously, on time, and accurately along a variable daily route. This position demands professionalism, safe driving practices, and an eye for detail. Beyond driving duties, you will provide additional assistance by supporting in-store operations either before or after completing your route. This dual role allows you to engage with customers directly and maintain the store’s high standards for product quality and customer service.
Your daily activities include accurately locating and picking orders in-store for wholesale customers, maintaining strong customer relationships by ensuring satisfaction through reliable and timely deliveries of GFS products, and performing thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and efficiency. In-store responsibilities are equally vital, consisting of processing customer purchases accurately via the point of sale, securing assets including cash and merchandise by adhering closely to store policies, and managing inventory by receiving and merchandising products with attention to product rotation, quality, and presentation following planogram guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of delivery driving experience coupled with a year of customer service or related experience. An unrestricted standard operator’s license is required, along with a clean driving record free from any drug or alcohol offenses in the past five years. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to pass pre-employment checks, which include a drug screen, criminal background check, and a motor vehicle report. Physical requirements include the ability to use a two-wheel cart loaded with up to 350 pounds and the capacity to lift up to 70 pounds.

- One year in customer service or related field preferred
- Unrestricted standard operator's license required
