Job Description
Valet Living is a premier provider of essential community management services primarily focusing on enhancing the living experiences within apartment communities. Known for its commitment to customer satisfaction and community upkeep, Valet Living operates as a specialized service company that manages waste collection, recycling, and other frontline residential services in a reliable and efficient manner. The company harnesses the power of technology alongside personalized service to ensure that apartment residents enjoy clean, safe, and well-maintained common areas. Valet Living values diversity and inclusion in its workforce and is dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities, promoting a workplace culture that respects and supports individuals from all backgrounds. This part-time position plays a crucial role in supporting these goals by maintaining cleanliness and order, thereby contributing to an aesthetically pleasing and hygienic environment conducive to resident satisfaction and community pride.
The role of a part-time Trash Collector, also referred to as a Service Valet, at Valet Living is an engaging opportunity tailored for individuals who seek a physically active job that allows them to earn extra income in the evenings. This role requires the use of a personal, reliable open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of hauling a trailer. The primary responsibility involves collecting trash and recycling bags placed at residents' doorsteps within an apartment complex and transporting them to a designated onsite trash compactor. The job specifically excludes handling bulk items, off-site driving, or any form of trash dumping, ensuring a focus on localized and manageable tasks. The use of a mobile app complements the physical work, as it enables service valets to document their activities by logging arrival and departure times, tracking collections, and capturing non-compliance through photos. Physically, the role demands walking the property extensively, climbing stairs, and enduring outdoor working conditions that vary with seasonal weather changes. The shift pattern typically involves evening hours from 7:00 or 8:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday, offering flexibility for candidates who prefer to work part-time, approximately 10 to 15 plus hours weekly. Valet Living strives to assign the work location close to the employee's residence, promoting convenience and reducing commute stress. This position offers an hourly starting wage of $20, quick access to earnings through DailyPay, and prospects for career advancement within the company. Additionally, the work environment emphasizes safety with the provision of gear such as gloves and vests. Joining Valet Living as a part-time Trash Collector is an excellent option for those who enjoy active roles, want reliable income with an accommodating schedule, and desire to be part of a team dedicated to community betterment and environmental responsibility.
