Job Description
Valet Living is a service company dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities across the United States. With a strong focus on cleanliness, customer service, and community care, Valet Living partners with property managers to provide essential services such as trash and recycling collection, maintenance support, and other residential services. The company prides itself on a culture that values hard work, reliability, and making a positive difference within the communities it serves. Valet Living is known for offering flexible, part-time positions that provide individuals with the opportunity to earn extra income while maintaining a balance with other life commitments. They promote an inclusive work environment where diversity is celebrated and reasonable accommodations are provided to individuals with disabilities throughout the hiring and employment process.
This role is for a part-time Trash Collector, also called a Service Valet, whose primary responsibility is to keep apartment communities clean and welcoming. The position involves collecting trash and recycling bags from residents’ doorsteps and transporting them using the employee’s personal vehicle — specifically requiring an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of hauling a trailer. The work does not require heavy lifting of bulk items, off-site driving, or dumping, as collected waste is brought to on-site trash compactors. This hands-on position is physically active, requiring walking, stair climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Service Valets log their service activities through a mobile app, documenting arrivals, departures, tracking, and any non-compliance with photo proof.
The position offers evening shifts typically from Sunday to Thursday, starting between 7:00 and 8:00 PM, providing around 10-15 hours per week. The pay rate can be up to $20 per hour. Valet Living aims to assign service areas close to each employee’s home, enhancing the convenience and reducing commute times. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a flexible part-time job that involves active work rather than desk-bound duties. It offers the chance to stay physically fit through daily activity during the work shift, benefit from rapid access to earned wages with DailyPay, and potentially advance into leadership roles within the company.
Valet Living prioritizes employee safety by providing necessary personal protective equipment such as gloves, vests, and other gear. Employees benefit from referral bonuses when bringing others into the team, making it a rewarding environment for those who value community and teamwork. The company emphasizes equal employment opportunities, ensuring that no discrimination occurs based on race, gender, disability, or other protected categories. Overall, this role is well-suited for dependable, motivated individuals looking to contribute positively to apartment living environments while benefiting from flexible hours and meaningful work.
