Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable service company dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of apartment communities across the United States. Known for its focus on exceptional customer service and community enhancement, Valet Living provides tailored waste collection and property maintenance services with an emphasis on reliability and efficiency. The company prides itself on creating welcoming environments where residents can enjoy clean, well-kept living spaces. Valet Living values diversity, inclusivity, and fair employment practices, ensuring they hire and support a wide range of individuals in their workforce. The company offers positions focused on hands-on work that contributes directly to community well-being and resident satisfaction.
Valet Living is currently seeking part-time Trash Collectors, also known as Service Valets, to join their team. This role is perfect for individuals looking for a physically active job that offers both a flexible schedule and the opportunity to earn extra income. The role involves collecting trash and recycling bags directly from residents' doorsteps within assigned apartment communities and transporting the waste to an on-site trash compactor using an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with an attached trailer. This position is designed for people who have reliable transportation and want local, close-to-home work assignments.
This hands-on job requires walking throughout apartment complexes, climbing stairs, and working outdoors regardless of weather conditions, making it ideal for those who enjoy staying active during work hours. The shift typically occurs in the evenings, Sunday through Thursday, starting at 7:00 or 8:00 PM, making it suitable for individuals who want a side job or supplemental income. The pay range is competitive, offering $15 to $20 per hour based on experience and performance, with around 10 to 15 hours worked weekly.
Service Valets use a specialized mobile app on their smartphones to log detailed service information, including arrival and departure times, route tracking, and photos documenting any non-compliance by residents. Valet Living supports its employees by providing safety equipment such as gloves, vests, and other necessary gear to ensure a safe and secure working environment. The company also offers benefits such as daily pay access through DailyPay, referral bonuses for bringing new team members, and opportunities for career advancement into leadership roles.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance listing them as a covered driver, and authorized to work in the U.S. Candidates must have a personal and reliable open-bed pickup truck or vehicle with a trailer to perform their duties efficiently. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, walk long distances, climb stairs multiple times per shift, and work in various weather conditions. This role does not require heavy lifting of bulk items, off-site driving, or dumping, focusing the work within the community premises to maintain resident convenience and service efficiency.
Valet Living embraces diversity and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the application and recruitment process. The company fosters an inclusive workplace where all employees can thrive regardless of race, religion, gender identity, or other protected characteristics. This part-time job opportunity is an excellent fit for motivated individuals who want to contribute positively to the communities where they live and work while earning a steady income and staying physically active.
