Job Description

Valet Living is a service-oriented company dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities by maintaining cleanliness and promoting sustainability. As a prominent provider in the property services sector, Valet Living specializes in waste management and other resident services tailored to multi-family residential properties. Their commitment to quality service and community wellbeing makes them a trusted partner for apartment management companies across various regions.

Valet Living is currently hiring part-time Trash Collectors, also known as Service Valets, to join their team in Northside Indianapolis. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, part-time employment with evening shifts that provide an opportunity to stay active while earning additional income. The position requires the use of a personal and reliable open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of hauling a trailer, which is essential for transporting collected materials to the on-site trash compactor.

The job entails collecting trash and recycling bags from residents' doorsteps within assigned apartment communities. Workers will use Valet Living's mobile app to log service activities, including arrival and departure times, tracking details, and documenting any non-compliance incidents through photographs. This hands-on position involves physical activity such as walking long distances, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions, making it a physically engaging role.

The compensation for this position starts from $18.00 per hour, with a specific wage of $20.00 per hour for the Northside Indianapolis area. The hours average between 10 and 15+ hours weekly, typically during evening shifts from Sunday to Thursday starting at either 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM. Valet Living strives to assign shifts close to where employees live to reduce commute times and enhance work-life balance.

This role emphasizes the importance of safety, providing employees with essential protective gear such as gloves and vests. Valet Living also offers the benefit of DailyPay, allowing employees quick access to their earnings. Career growth opportunities are available for individuals interested in advancing into leadership roles, and referral bonuses provide additional financial incentives.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States, holding a valid driver’s license with auto insurance that names them as a covered driver. Maintaining a smartphone with an active data plan is required for utilizing the company’s mobile app during service. The physical nature of the job requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and comfort in handling bagged trash and waste.

Valet Living values diversity and inclusion and is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to accommodating individuals with disabilities during the hiring process. This ongoing opportunity is perfect for motivated individuals who are reliable, hard-working, and eager to contribute positively to their community.
