Part-Time Trash Collector – Evening Shift

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable part-time Trash Collectors, also known as Service Valets, who will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of apartment communities. This position is ideal for individuals looking for a physically active job that offers flexible evening shifts and the opportunity to earn extra income. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting trash and recycling bags placed by residents at their doorsteps and transporting them to an on-site trash compactor. The nature of the job requires onsite work with no off-site driving or heavy lifting of bulk items, making it manageable yet engaging. Using our user-friendly mobile app on your smartphone, you will log service details including arrival and departure times, as well as track the service through photographs to ensure compliance. This position involves walking the property extensively, climbing stairs and working in all kinds of weather, providing a dynamic work environment with a variety of daily experiences.

This part-time role typically requires around 10 to 15 hours per week, mainly during evening shifts from Sunday through Thursday starting between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with Sundays being mandatory. The pay rate is competitive at $17 per hour, with the opportunity to earn more if you have a truck or trailer to support your work. Valet Living carefully coordinates assignments to match employees with properties close to their homes, enhancing convenience and reducing commute times.

Applicants should be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States, with verification once hired. A smartphone with a data plan is necessary to access the company’s app for service logging. Preference is given to candidates who own a personal pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer, and those who possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance in their name. The physical demands of this position include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, walk long distances, climb stairs, and work comfortably outdoors around bagged trash in varying weather conditions.
