Job Description

Valet Living is a reputable company specializing in providing essential services for apartment communities with a focus on cleanliness, convenience, and customer satisfaction. Established to enhance the living experience of residents by maintaining welcoming, clean, and attractive community spaces, Valet Living operates across the United States and prides itself on its commitment to quality service and community involvement. By employing dedicated team members who take pride in their work, Valet Living supports apartment communities in creating a cleaner and more pleasant environment for residents and visitors alike. The company values diversity and provides equal employment opportunities, demonstrating an inclusive culture alongside a commitment to reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the hiring process.

Valet Living is currently seeking part-time Trash Collectors, also referred to as Service Valets, to join their team in various apartment community locations. This role is specifically designed for individuals looking to earn extra income while staying active throughout their shifts. The positions require physically active work, involving walking around the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. The employment schedule entails evening shifts, usually from Sunday through Thursday, beginning around 7:00 or 8:00 PM, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking part-time work that fits well with other daytime obligations.

As a Trash Collector with Valet Living, you will be responsible for collecting trash and recycling bags directly from residents' doorsteps and transporting them to the on-site trash compactor. Importantly, this role does not involve heavy lifting of bulk items, off-site driving, or dumping, which emphasizes the nature of the duties as manageable and community-focused. The use of a smartphone app provided by the company enables you to log service activities, including arrival times, departures, tracking, and photographic documentation of compliance or non-compliance issues. This technology-driven approach allows for streamlined service and accountability while encouraging efficient communication within the team.

The pay for this part-time role starts at $13 per hour, providing a competitive wage option for part-time workers. The shifts cover around 10-15 hours per week, ideal for those seeking supplemental income without the commitment of a full-time position. Additionally, Valet Living endeavors to assign employees to properties near their place of residence, reducing commute times and supporting a better work-life balance.

Applicants should be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States. A smartphone with a data plan is essential to operate the company's mobile app. While owning a personal vehicle such as a pick-up truck or a vehicle with a trailer is preferred along with a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance, these are not necessarily strict requirements for consideration. The job also entails certain physical requirements, including the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, walk long distances, climb stairs multiple times during the shift, and comfortably work outdoors in all types of weather, including exposure to bagged trash and waste.

Valet Living supports its employees with benefits designed to make the job rewarding and safe. These include gloves, vests, and other necessary safety gear, ensuring individuals are well-protected throughout their shifts. The company promotes career growth opportunities, allowing motivated individuals to advance into leadership roles if desired. Other perks include referral bonuses for recommending others to the team, daily pay access through DailyPay for fast payment of earnings, and the unique benefit of an evening shift schedule that suits many lifestyles.

Valet Living values hard work, reliability, and the positive impact its employees make in community upkeep. If you are interested in a role that combines physical activity, flexible part-time hours, and a meaningful contribution to residential environments, this is a role worth exploring. Applications remain open on an ongoing basis, and the company welcomes inquiries for reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process.
