Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Effective time management skills
- Knowledge of company products and services
- Cashier role requires ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
- Cashier role requires compliance with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
- Stocker role requires ability to operate equipment safely
- Stockers must have morning availability and be able to work early shifts
Job Duties
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader
- Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
- Performs duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Processes customer purchases
- Performs general cleaning duties
- Stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly
- Provides exceptional customer service
- Assists customers with their shopping experience
- Provides feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
- Participates in store inventory counts and monitors inventory accuracy
- Adheres to cash policies and procedures
- Stocks shelves and rotates product properly
- Follows merchandising planograms
- Organizes new inventory and breaks down empty boxes
- Operates machinery safely including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
- Maintains physical stamina by sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking
- Performs stocking of merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights
