Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous banquet server experience preferred
  • excellent communication skills

  • physical ability to stand, walk, and carry up to 40 pounds
  • adherence to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a banquet server in a similar upscale dining or banquet facility is preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor
  • assist guests with seating arrangements and provide information about the event and menu options as needed
  • ensure that all guest requests and special dietary needs are met promptly and accurately
  • assist in the setup and breakdown of private event rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and table settings according to event specifications
  • ensure the banquet area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times
  • prepare and arrange all necessary utensils, glassware, and tableware
  • serve food and beverages to guests according to established standards and procedures
  • maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • anticipate guests' needs with a proactive attitude and approach
  • offer suggestions and recommendations to guests based on their preferences
  • collaborate with other event servers, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure seamless service
  • communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently
  • monitor and anticipate the needs of guests during events, such as refilling drinks and clearing empty plates
  • ensure that tables are properly set and maintained throughout the event
  • handle special requests or accommodations with care and professionalism
  • adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • follow responsible alcohol service policies and practices
