The Parks and Recreation department is currently seeking a Part-Time Snack Bar Assistant to join the team at one of its golf course facilities. The Part-Time Snack Bar Assistant will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders, preparing a variety of menu items including fried and grilled foods, and processing payments from patrons. The successful candidate must demonstrate punctuality, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

A Top Shelf certification, which relates to responsible alcohol service, must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Job Duties
- Prepares various food orders including frying, grilling and assembling
- takes food and beverage orders, alcohol beverages are served, prepares orders, and charges patrons for purchases
- cleans snack bar area and clubhouse rest rooms on a daily basis
- maintains stock levels in storage area
- ensure regular, punctual attendance during scheduled work hours
- occasionally operates beverage cart throughout the golf course
- responds to and reports immediately if called upon by local regional or central office supervisors, as part of a coordinated emergency response by the Knox County Mayor’s Office
- perform other duties as required
