Job Description

Valet Living is a leading provider of residential waste and recycling collection services, dedicated to enhancing the living experience for residents of apartment communities across the United States. Renowned for its commitment to exceptional customer service and community engagement, Valet Living operates within the property management industry, specializing in serving multi-family housing communities through innovative and reliable waste management solutions. They prioritize sustainability, safety, and employee satisfaction, striving to create clean and welcoming environments for residents while offering flexible employment opportunities for their team members.

This particular position is for a part-time Trash Collector, also referred to as a Service Valet, who plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of apartment communities. This hands-on role involves collecting trash and recycling bags directly from residents' doorsteps and transporting them to on-site trash compactors. The job requires the use of an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer, which is a mandatory requirement for the role. Unlike traditional waste collection jobs, this role does not involve heavy lifting of bulk items, off-site driving, or dumping, making it an accessible opportunity for individuals seeking part-time work without the burden of physically strenuous or complex tasks.

As a Service Valet, you will utilize a company-provided mobile app on your smartphone to log service details such as arrival and departure times, tracking, and photographic evidence of any non-compliance issues. The position demands physical activity including walking, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions, which can provide a good source of daily exercise and keep the workday dynamic. Scheduled evening shifts typically run Sunday through Thursday, starting between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM, and involve approximately 8 to 10 hours of work per week, making this a flexible opportunity for those seeking to supplement their income during evenings.

The compensation for this role is competitive, with drivers who provide their own truck or trailer earning $18 per hour, and helpers earning $16 per hour. Employees benefit from close-to-home assignments whenever possible, ensuring convenient commuting and work-life balance. Furthermore, Valet Living supports its employees with safety gear such as gloves and vests and promotes a workplace culture of reliability, respect, and professional growth. Opportunities for advancement into leadership positions are available for dedicated team members, as well as referral bonuses that provide additional earning potential.

Valet Living values diversity and inclusion, recruiting and promoting employees regardless of race, religion, creed, gender identity, or other legally protected characteristics. The company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process and employment to support individuals with disabilities. As a part-time Service Valet, you will be joining a team that ensures residents enjoy cleaner, more pleasant living environments while gaining steady part-time income and the chance to stay active while working. If you are 18 years or older, have authorized work status in the U.S., a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation in the form of an open-bed pickup truck or vehicle with trailer, and a smartphone with a data plan, this role offers a compelling opportunity to contribute to your local community and earn extra income on a schedule that fits your lifestyle.
