Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable service company specializing in maintaining cleanliness and enhancing the quality of life within apartment communities. Known for its commitment to community care and customer satisfaction, Valet Living partners with residential properties across the United States to provide exceptional trash and recycling collection services, among other amenities. Their dedicated team members play a vital role in ensuring that residents enjoy a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained living environment. This company values hard work, reliability, and teamwork and offers a supportive work environment with opportunities for growth, making it a great place for individuals seeking flexible employment with meaningful impact.
Currently, Valet Living is seeking part-time Trash Collectors, also known as Service Valets, who will be responsible for collecting trash and recycling bags from residents’ doorsteps within various apartment communities. This role is perfect for someone looking for a part-time job that keeps them active and allows them to earn extra income in the evenings. The ideal candidate will utilize their personal, reliable transportation—specifically an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle hauling a trailer—to efficiently transport collected trash to the on-site trash compactor. Importantly, this position does not require heavy lifting of bulk items, off-site driving, or the need to dump the trash themselves, which helps reduce physical strain.
The Trash Collector position involves a hands-on, physically active workday filled with walking the property and climbing stairs, and it requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable around bagged trash and waste and able to lift up to 50 pounds. This position provides employees with a sense of accomplishment in helping to maintain community standards and cleanliness, and it comes with the convenience of close-to-home assignments whenever possible. The shifts typically run Sunday through Thursday during evening hours, starting at either 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM, and the workweek ranges around 10 to 15 hours, making it highly suitable for students, retirees, or anyone seeking flexible part-time work.
Employees will utilize a company-provided mobile app on their smartphones to log important service details, such as arrival and departure times, tracking information, and photos documenting non-compliance. Valet Living emphasizes safety and provides employees with protective gear, including gloves and vests. Additionally, workers can take advantage of DatyPay, enabling fast and convenient access to their earnings.
Valet Living not only offers competitive compensation of up to $20 per hour but also fosters an inclusive work environment with equal employment opportunities for all. The company encourages applications regardless of race, religion, age, gender identity, disability, or veteran status, promoting diversity and accommodation in the workplace. Candidates authorized to work in the United States who possess the required vehicle and smartphone setup are encouraged to apply and become part of a team dedicated to improving community living spaces through efficient and reliable service.
