Job Description

Valet Living is a premier service company dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities through attentive and dependable services. Established as a leader in residential service, Valet Living specializes in providing a range of amenities that foster cleanliness and comfort for residents. With a commitment to community involvement and employee growth, Valet Living operates in numerous locations, serving communities with a customer-first approach and innovative practices that set a high standard in residential property management support.

This opportunity is for a part-time Trash Collector, also known as Service Valet, whose primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere of apartment communities. The role is ideally suited for individuals seeking a physically active part-time job where they can earn additional income while staying engaged and on the move. The position revolves around collecting trash and recycling bags directly from residents' doorsteps and transporting them using an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of hauling a trailer to the on-site trash compactor. Unlike traditional waste management roles, this position does not require heavy lifting of bulk items, off-site driving, or the disposal of waste at external facilities, making it less physically demanding than other similar roles.

This role operates mainly during evening hours, typically from Sunday through Thursday, starting either at 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM, offering approximately 10 to 15 or more flexible hours weekly - perfect for supplementing income outside of standard working hours. Earnings can be up to $21 per hour, and the company strives to assign work locations close to the valet's home to minimize commute time.

Service Valets utilize a mobile app to efficiently record service activities such as arrival and departure times, track route progress, and document any service exceptions through photos, enhancing communication and accountability. The job demands physical stamina as it involves walking throughout the apartment properties, climbing stairs, and working in all weather conditions. The position promotes health and wellness by encouraging physical activity and movement through the workday.

Valet Living values safety, providing employees with the necessary personal protective equipment including gloves and reflective vests. There are opportunities for career growth within the company and additional income through referral bonuses. This role not only offers a chance to be active and earn but also to contribute positively to local communities, making them cleaner and more pleasant places to live.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation, specifically an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of hauling a trailer. A valid driver’s license, auto insurance with the applicant listed as a covered driver, and authorization to work in the United States are required. Candidates need to have a smartphone with a data plan to use the company’s mobile application.

Valet Living is an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities during the application and interview process. Overall, this role is ideal for those who enjoy being active, seek flexibility in their work schedules, and desire to be part of a dedicated service team that values reliability, effort, and community impact.
