Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable company dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities by providing essential services that promote cleanliness and convenience for residents. Established with a focus on fostering community pride and tenant satisfaction, Valet Living operates across multiple locations, delivering high-quality service with an emphasis on reliability and professionalism. The company values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, ensuring a supportive work environment where employees can thrive and grow.
Currently, Valet Living is seeking part-time Trash Collectors, also known as Service Valets, to join their team. This role is particularly suited for individuals looking for a physically active position that keeps them moving while providing an opportunity to earn extra income. The job involves collecting trash and recycling bags directly from residents' doorsteps within an apartment community and transporting them to an on-site trash compactor using an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle equipped with a trailer. Notably, this position eliminates the need for heavy lifting of bulk items or traveling off-site for dumping, making it manageable and straightforward.
The role is hands-on and requires a good level of physical fitness as it involves walking throughout the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Service Valets use a company-provided mobile application on their smartphones to log service details such as arrival and departure times, tracking, and non-compliance photos, ensuring an efficient and streamlined process. This technological integration supports accountability and transparency, enhancing job performance and satisfaction.
Pay for this part-time opportunity ranges from $15 to $20 per hour, with typical shifts occurring during the daytime from Sunday through Thursday starting around 9:00 AM, though some locations may have later start times. Employees can expect to work roughly 10 to 15 hours or more per week. Additionally, the company strives to assign Service Valets to properties close to their homes, supporting convenience and reducing commute times.
Being a part of Valet Living means joining a team that values hard work, reliability, and a commitment to community service. Employees benefit from a supportive environment, a safety-first approach with provided gloves, vests, and gear, and the opportunity for career growth through leadership roles. The company also offers referral bonuses, enabling employees to earn extra income by recommending others to join the team. With a focus on worker safety, inclusivity, and empowerment, Valet Living ensures all employees are treated with respect and given reasonable accommodations as necessary.
This ongoing opportunity invites applicants who meet the requirements to apply and become part of an organization that impacts communities positively while offering employees a rewarding and flexible work experience.
