Job Description
RockCreek Seafood & Spirits is a well-regarded full-service restaurant located in Kirkland, known for its dedication to quality seafood and vibrant social atmosphere. With a strong emphasis on fresh ingredients and careful preparation, RockCreek Seafood & Spirits offers an exceptional dining experience for locals and visitors alike. The establishment blends inviting ambiance with exceptional culinary craft and outstanding customer service to create a preferred dining destination in the region. As a part-time and temporary employer, RockCreek Seafood & Spirits offers flexible seasonal employment opportunities primarily targeting those interested in gaining dining industry experience or continuing their service career in a supportive, lively environment.
The position available is for seasonal wait and bar staff who will be an integral part of the front-of-house team. This seasonal role is expected to run from spring through mid-September, aligned with the peak seasonality of the restaurant’s customer flow. Employees may have the opportunity to transition into part-time variable hour employment beyond the season, depending on business needs and staff performance. The role demands individuals with a passion for guest service, a strong understanding of the steps of service and table maintenance, and a genuine enjoyment of working in a fast-paced food and beverage environment. Candidates will be part of a tip pool system which includes front-of-house team tipping and tip sharing with kitchen and support staff, reflecting RockCreek's commitment to fair and inclusive compensation practices. The wage rate aligns with the minimum wage of $17.13 per hour, supplemented with tips based on their tip pooling system, offering competitive earnings relative to the local market.
The wait and bar staff responsibilities extend beyond typical service duties to a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and professional presentation. This role requires excellent communication skills, readiness to multi-task under pressure, and the ability to collaborate smoothly with fellow team members. RockCreek supports its team with various valuable benefits including sick pay accrual as per Washington state laws, five designated unpaid holidays, a comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plan available after a 6-month eligibility period, including partial employer contributions to employee medical coverage, and an employee assistance program available from day one. Additionally, staff enjoy employee discounts on dining, a referral incentive program, and attractive weekly paydays. This position offers a robust platform for career-minded individuals seeking to strengthen their skills in hospitality while working with a respected restaurant brand committed to employee well-being and guest satisfaction.
