Job Description

Grand Living is a distinguished leader in senior hospitality, quickly becoming an iconic brand known for redefining the way generations embrace life. With a sterling reputation for creating distinctive senior living communities, Grand Living offers not just residences but remarkable living experiences. Their senior communities feature gracious apartments complemented by stunning décor and design excellence, aimed at providing luxury-inspired amenities and unparalleled service. What truly sets Grand Living apart is their dedicated team of people whose commitment to personal service in every interaction ensures that residents and their guests feel valued and cared for at every moment. This commitment has solidified Grand Living's position as a premier choice for senior living, blending comfort, elegance, and personalized care.

The Server position at Grand Living plays a vital role in enhancing the dining experiences of residents, family members, and guests across all culinary venues within the community. This includes service in settings such as the Bistro, Casual and Formal dining areas, Luminations® memory care dining, and the Club Room, as well as special events and private functions. The Server’s responsibilities go beyond mere meal service; they embody The Sterling Touch®, a philosophy of professional, friendly, courteous, helpful, and timely service that aims for a high level of satisfaction among all those they serve. The role operates under the general guidance of the Executive Chef and Dining Room Supervisor, adhering strictly to community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophies that define the Grand Living experience.

This part-time position is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM on weekdays with rotating weekends, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a meaningful community-oriented role within a luxury environment. Servers at Grand Living are expected to demonstrate a strong ability to interact with residents and guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and appreciated, thus directly influencing the ambiance and reputation of the dining services. The restaurant-style service within a senior living community requires not only technical serving skills but also empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, handling kitchen utensils safely, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, emphasizing the need for stamina and careful attention to safety.

Grand Living supports its employees through a comprehensive benefits package available for full-time staff, including paid time off that increases with tenure, affordable insurance options covering medical, dental, and vision care, a 401(k) plan with employer match, life insurance, and an employee assistance program. Even part-time employees receive pro-rated PTO and access to exquisite cuisine and free employee meals (subject to eligibility), as well as wellness amenities such as the Grand Spa and Fitness facilities. The work environment combines high-end upscale dining experiences with the warmth of a community that celebrates inclusivity and diversity. Grand Living prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer and fostering a culture where all employees’ differences are celebrated and embraced, making it a rewarding place to work for those passionate about senior hospitality and service excellence.
