Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a family-owned, fast-growing company that operates over 60 resort-style senior living communities across the nation. At RLC, serving seniors is not just a job but a meaningful calling. The company’s culture is deeply rooted in Core Values of Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence, which guide every member of the team to foster a close-knit and servant-hearted community. With a commitment to creating a thriving environment, RLC focuses on four essential goals: happy employees, happy residents, full occupancy, and on-budget operations. The organization prides itself on providing a supportive leadership team and a beautiful, resort-style setting that makes both employees and residents feel at home.

The Part-Time Server role at RLC is designed for individuals who want to do more than serve meals; they want to create meaningful dining experiences that bring joy and warmth to senior residents. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a collaborative team where your input is valued, and your thoughtful responses to feedback contribute to a positive and caring community atmosphere. Whether you are a first-time employee seeking valuable real-world experience that will enhance your college or job applications or a seasoned professional ready to make an immediate impact, this role provides a rewarding, purpose-driven environment.

As a Part-Time Server, you will be instrumental in enhancing the dining experience for residents in both casual and fine dining settings. Your duties will range from carrying trays and offering beverages to warmly greeting and guiding residents through menu selections, accurately taking orders, and serving a full range of courses from beverages to desserts. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized dining area by resetting tables, handling dishes with care, refilling water carafes, and assisting with cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets and cleaning the salad bar. The role also includes delivering room service meals and attentively responding to resident comments or concerns, ensuring that their dining experience is both enjoyable and memorable.

To be successful in this role, you must be at least 15 years old and able to communicate effectively in English. No prior work experience is required, making this an accessible opportunity for those new to the workforce. However, you will need to secure the required food handler permits within two weeks of hire, and if applicable, obtain a work permit as mandated by state regulations before starting employment. RLC is committed to diversity and inclusion and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Embracing this role means more than just employment; it means joining a company that understands the importance of servant leadership and community spirit. Employees enjoy perks such as on-demand pay, employee discounts, and the satisfaction that comes from making a difference every day in a purpose-driven position. Join RLC and bring your servant heart to a place that truly feels like family, where every day offers an opportunity to create meaningful connections and lasting positive impacts on the lives of residents.
