Job Requirements
- Food handler's permit (must obtain before first day of work)
- any additional certifications required by state or provincial regulations
- ability to communicate effectively
- professionalism and composure under pressure
- experience in hospitality or food service preferred
Job Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure
- experience in hospitality, food service, or senior living dining is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet residents and guests with warmth and professionalism
- assist with meal setup including setting tables, ensuring menus are correct, and maintaining a clean dining space
- take meal orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring dietary needs or adaptive equipment requirements are met
- serve meals, beverages, soups, salads, and desserts in a timely and courteous manner
- clear and clean tables, sanitize surfaces, and perform light housekeeping duties
- maintain a well-organized server station and ensure dining supplies are stocked
- operate a P.O.S. system to process transactions and balance end-of-shift reports
- maintain confidentiality of resident and community information
