The Server position at Bass Pro Shops is a critical role in delivering world-class guest service within the company's dining venues. This part-time role involves serving guests in an assigned station by providing courteous and efficient service that meets or exceeds dining expectations. Servers play an essential part in creating a pleasant and memorable dining experience, ensuring guests receive attentive and knowledgeable service from the moment they arrive until they leave. The position requires familiarity with all menu items, excellent communication skills, and the ability to execute suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales.

Servers are responsible for a variety of tasks including greeting guests promptly and courteously, recording and entering food and beverage orders into the computer system, monitoring order status, and ensuring safe delivery from kitchen to table. Additionally, servers must understand and enforce procedures related to the responsible sale of alcoholic beverages, preventing overconsumption and ensuring legal compliance. They are also tasked with performing station set-up and break-down duties, maintaining cleanliness of service areas, and assisting with food running when necessary. The Server role demands a flexible team-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and procedures as outlined in company standards.

Working under general supervision, servers at Bass Pro Shops are expected to exercise occasional independent judgment to resolve issues and improve efficiency, sometimes making recommendations on work procedures and policies. Physical requirements include regular standing and walking throughout shifts, as well as occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Job Duties

  • Supports a strong commitment to world class guest service and ensures a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for restaurant patrons
  • Completes training requirements and follows service standards as trained
  • Greets guests promptly and courteously in assigned workstation
  • Understands and executes established procedures for verifying guest’s ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and knows how to prevent a guest from overindulging
  • Learns all menus and can communicate all food and beverage offerings
  • Effectively uses suggestive selling techniques
  • Records food and beverage orders, enters orders into computer system, monitors status of order preparation and safely transports order from kitchen to guest
