Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a respected and rapidly growing, family-owned company with over 60 vibrant communities nationwide, dedicated to providing exceptional senior living experiences. At RLC, serving seniors goes beyond just a job; it is viewed as a heartfelt calling and a meaningful purpose. The company prides itself on fostering a close-knit, servant-hearted environment guided by core values that emphasize respect, honesty, kindness, compassion, and service excellence. These values are the cornerstone of everything RLC does, influencing the way they care for their residents, support their staff, and operate their communities. The company aims for four essential goals that reflect their commitment to a thriving community: happy employees, happy residents, full occupancy, and on-budget operations. This ensures a balanced, holistic approach to senior living, creating an environment where both employees and residents feel valued and fulfilled.
The Part-Time Server role at RLC is a vital position focused on delivering meaningful and joyful dining experiences to senior residents. This role requires more than just serving meals; it involves creating memorable moments, fostering genuine connections, and contributing to a warm, positive, and caring community atmosphere. Working as a part of a collaborative team, the Part-Time Server actively participates in sharing ideas, responding thoughtfully to feedback, and improving service quality to enhance residents' overall dining experience. This position is ideal for individuals who are compassionate and have a servant’s heart, whether they are starting out with no prior experience or bring seasoned expertise to the table. The role entails assisting in Casual Dining by carrying trays, offering beverages, and anticipating residents’ needs. In Fine Dining settings, servers warmly greet residents, help with menu selections, take orders accurately, and serve comprising courses from drinks to desserts.
Additionally, the server helps maintain the dining room’s presentation by clearing and resetting tables, handling dishes with care, filling water carafes, and preparing tables before meals. Attention to cleanliness and organization is also essential, requiring tasks such as vacuuming carpets and cleaning the salad bar. The server is responsible for delivering room service meals with a cheerful attitude and addressing residents’ comments and concerns respectfully, escalating issues when necessary. Flexibility and willingness to assist with miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors complete the job profile. RLC offers a supportive leadership team and a resort-style environment that fosters both personal and professional growth. The company also provides tangible perks such as pay-on-demand and employee discounts, making it an appealing place for newcomers and experienced workers alike to grow and make a meaningful difference every day.
