The Anaheim Convention Center (ACC) stands as the largest exhibit facility on the West Coast, located in the vibrant city of Anaheim, California. Since its opening in 1967, the ACC has grown extensively to encompass 53 acres and offers a remarkable 1.8 million square feet of function space. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work an average of 20 hours per week with availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays
- experience in convention center, arena, stadium, theater, or similar venue operations
- basic computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods
- physical ability to walk, climb stairs, reach, bend, crouch, and kneel
- strong communication skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks under general supervision
- willingness to undergo background checks and post-offer medical examination including drug screening
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of event industry and providing customer service in a multi-purpose facility, including conventions, exhibits, trade and consumer shows, concerts, athletic events, and meetings
- knowledge of methods and techniques to coordinate and plan events
- basic computer knowledge, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- understanding of Federal, State, City, and County rules and regulations
- ability to plan, coordinate, and manage activities and events
- ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine the feasible use of Convention Center
- ability to review room arrangements and make changes or correct deficiencies to tenant satisfaction
- ability to maintain a good working relationship with managers and tenants
- ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- ability to effectively complete a written report at the conclusion of each shift
Job Duties
- Provide assistance and relief to the Event Managers
- maintain and facilitate communication between tenants, contractors, and employees
- monitor the quality of services provided
- ensure that tenant plans and requests comply with State, City, and County rules and regulations
- respond to citizen inquiries and resolve difficult and sensitive situations
- inspect the facility for damage, report damage to security, and/or submit work orders for repairs
- ensure that a safe environment is maintained throughout the tenancy of contracted events
- perform related duties and responsibilities as required
