This job opening is for a part-time Registered Dietitian role, offering an hourly wage of $30 to $35, negotiable based on experience. The Registered Dietitian will perform detailed nutrition assessments and follow-ups for patients with heightened nutritional needs, document nutritional goals and status changes, and educate patients and their families regarding their dietary requirements. This role includes participating in patient rounds, communicating changes in nutritional status to nursing and physicians, and supporting patient satisfaction programs. The dietitian will also have responsibilities related to patient services program implementation, such as educating staff about special diets, reviewing and approving menus and formulas, and encouraging continuous performance improvement within the nutrition and culinary services teams.

Job Duties

  • Complete nutrition assessments and follow-ups for individuals with increased nutritional needs in accordance with facility policies
  • Document assessment of nutritional goals and/or changes in status in the medical record
  • Educate individuals and/or their family members on nutritional needs as indicated
  • Attend patient rounds on assigned floors
  • Inform nursing and physicians of changes in patient/resident nutritional status
  • Participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs with culinary and nutrition services
  • Educate staff, nursing, and food service employees on issues regarding special diets or formulas
