- experience and/or training providing required knowledge and abilities
- knowledge of customer service
- knowledge of modern office methods and practices
- knowledge of filing systems
- proficiency with receptionist and telephone techniques
- ability to proofread and edit
- foundational knowledge of business mathematics
- ability to use computers including Microsoft 365 and Outlook
- ability to operate office equipment
- ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- ability to express ideas clearly and concisely
- ability to cooperatively handle wide variety of tasks
- effective prioritization skills

- good judgment within assigned authority
- ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with City employees and the public

Job Duties
- perform a variety of office and reception duties including typing data entry document filing and customer service both in person and over the telephone
- serve as front desk attendant greeting the public in a professional and cheerful manner
- answer the telephone and register participants for classes and programs
- assist with special activities and programs as assigned
- organize and prepare facility for users
- monitor group facility use
- perform related duties as assigned
