Job Description

Silverado Newport Mesa is a renowned memory care provider recognized nationally as a top innovator in the field, especially dedicated to delivering exceptional care for individuals with neurodegenerative conditions. Established in 1997, Silverado has grown into a trusted community offering specialized memory care services combined with a compassionate environment designed to enhance the quality of life for its residents. This commitment to excellence has earned Silverado the distinction of being ranked in the top 10 nationwide by Fortune Magazine’s Best Workplaces in Aging Services, reflecting not only its dedication to outstanding care but also to fostering a supportive and enriching workplace for its employees. The organization prides itself on being a certified Great Place to Work, with competitive pay, extensive benefits, and multiple opportunities for employee growth and professional development.

The Receptionist role at Silverado Newport Mesa is pivotal in maintaining an inviting and organized front desk environment that embodies the warmth and professionalism for which Silverado is known. This part-time position, located within a vibrant, people-centered community, focuses on delivering high-quality customer service to residents, their families, guests, and staff. As the first point of contact, the receptionist ensures a seamless and positive experience by managing calls, greeting visitors, and handling essential clerical tasks. The role requires a candidate who balances empathy with efficiency, is skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced setting, and is genuinely committed to enhancing the resident and visitor experience. The AM shift schedule from Thursday through Saturday offers work-life balance for candidates seeking part-time employment while engaging meaningfully with a mission-driven organization.

In this role, the receptionist not only supports daily operational functions such as mail distribution, file management, and telephone communications, but also plays a vital part in fostering Silverados’s welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal skills, computer literacy particularly with Microsoft Office programs, and an ability to remain composed and organized amid the dynamic environment of a care community. Candidates should also be comfortable with physical activity including walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as interacting in a setting where animals and pets may be present. This position offers an anticipated pay rate of $18 per hour, along with a host of employee benefits including healthcare options, 401(k) matching, and tuition reimbursement, underpinning Silverado’s commitment to investing in its team members. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing background checks, drug screening, physical examinations, and TB testing where necessary, ensuring a safe and trustworthy community for all. Silverado also utilizes E-Verify to confirm authorization to work, aligning with legal and ethical standards.

Joining Silverado Newport Mesa means becoming part of an esteemed and compassionate team dedicated to making a significant difference in the lives of older adults living with memory impairments. This opportunity is not just a job, but a chance to contribute to an organization that values heart, hospitality, integrity, and a genuine care for people. Whether managing the front desk or interacting with the community, the receptionist will be instrumental in upholding Silverado’s high standards and continuing the tradition of excellence in memory care.
