This role centers around planning, coordinating, and facilitating engaging events such as children's birthday parties and various craft classes within the store setting. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing multiple events simultaneously, communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs, and ensuring every event runs smoothly from start to finish. Job Requirements
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
- Ability to move throughout the store
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children and children's events
- Retail or customer service experience
- Excellent people skills
- Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication and listening skills

Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
- Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
- Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects and perform activities such as face painting
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
- Communicate events with clients and store team members
- Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
- Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs
- Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed
- Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
- Uphold company cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after events
- Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
- Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
- Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and complete enrollments
- Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
- Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
- Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
- Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
- Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
- Support shrink and safety programs
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
- Interact respectfully and positively with customers and team members
- Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production
- Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned
