The role based in Orange City, Florida, centers around event coordination and exceptional customer service within a Michaels store environment. The person in this position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating engaging events such as children’s birthday parties and craft classes to ensure guests experience a fun, stress-free, and enjoyable time. This involves working directly with clients of all ages and creating an atmosphere that encourages creativity and enjoyment. The position also includes demonstrating and instructing craft projects, managing party add-ons like balloons and goody bags, and ensuring communication with clients and store teams is clear and effective.

Beyond event coordination, this role also encompasses key retail responsibilities such as assisting customers in locating products, providing solutions, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. Additional duties include participating in truck unloading, merchandise stocking according to planograms, maintaining store recovery standards, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Team members are expected to adhere to company policies, uphold cleanliness and safety standards, and maintain a respectful, positive attitude in all interactions.

Ideal candidates will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for working with children and facilitating creative events, and retail or customer service experience. The position also demands physical capabilities such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting heavy boxes, and accessing high shelves, often within a climate-controlled store environment.
