Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education
  • prior hospitality experience preferred
  • 2-4 years valet experience
  • ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong customer service skills
  • basic computer skills
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to meet insurance requirements for vehicle operation
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
  • ability to stand for up to 4 hours
  • neat and well-groomed appearance
  • minimum age of 21 to operate vehicles
  • minimum age of 25 to operate shuttle
  • minimum 3 years full-time verifiable driving experience
  • clean driving record with no DUI or serious traffic violations
  • able to comply with hotel attendance policies
  • self-driven and able to work independently

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior hospitality experience preferred
  • 2-4 years of valet experience
  • ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • proficiency in basic computer skills including Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key systems, and POS
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong customer service orientation
  • valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements for motorized vehicle operation
  • ability to work independently
  • detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage
  • inform guests of all safety features and promote outlets if time permits
  • offer information regarding hotel services, facilities, entertainment, and local points of interest
  • store guest luggage upon request and assist with loading and unloading luggage into and out of automobiles
  • call taxis for guests upon request
  • prepare and maintain tour and delivery paperwork ensuring accuracy and operational standards
  • supervise group baggage transfers and amenity deliveries
  • maintain check-in station appearance and operational effectiveness
  • assist other departments with transporting boxes and supplies
  • promote a positive and professional work environment
  • maintain cleanliness of valet stand, driveway, bell closet, and bell carts
  • safely operate guest vehicles to parking areas and return them for guest pick-up
  • comply with all traffic laws while operating vehicles
  • perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
