Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to use Electronic Health Record systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • Ability to greet patients warmly and professionally
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient service
  • Preferred one year of medical office experience

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience required
  • One year previous medical office experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems is beneficial
  • New graduates from certified medical assistant or receptionist programs welcome

Job Duties

  • Greeting every patient with a smile
  • Completing and updating patients' insurance information with accuracy and efficiency
  • Utilizing the Electronic Health Record system to complete the registration process and facilitate patient visits
  • Completing the check-out process by assisting patients with scheduling future appointments and providing referral information
  • Verifying insurance eligibility to ensure timely billing
  • Collecting co-pays and deductibles as directed by billing policies
  • Answering the appointment line and checking email appointment requests
  • Scheduling appointments for patients at office sites and diagnostic departments
  • Providing exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience
