Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to use Electronic Health Record systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Ability to greet patients warmly and professionally
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient service
- Preferred one year of medical office experience
Job Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience required
- One year previous medical office experience preferred
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems is beneficial
- New graduates from certified medical assistant or receptionist programs welcome
Job Duties
- Greeting every patient with a smile
- Completing and updating patients' insurance information with accuracy and efficiency
- Utilizing the Electronic Health Record system to complete the registration process and facilitate patient visits
- Completing the check-out process by assisting patients with scheduling future appointments and providing referral information
- Verifying insurance eligibility to ensure timely billing
- Collecting co-pays and deductibles as directed by billing policies
- Answering the appointment line and checking email appointment requests
- Scheduling appointments for patients at office sites and diagnostic departments
- Providing exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience
