Job Requirements

  • Must be able to remain stationary, navigate the hotel, and handle cleaning equipment
  • ability to access low areas and traverse heights safely
  • occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • carefully observe guest rooms to ensure a safe working environment
  • frequent outdoor work may be required depending on the hotel’s location
  • occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise environments
  • travel to assist at additional locations may be required

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to providing an exceptional experience for both guests and team members
  • cleans and prepares assigned guest rooms according to company standards, policies, and procedures
  • maintains housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas while in use to ensure they meet company standards
  • stocks carts and cart areas as needed or as directed by management
  • addresses maintenance issues by reporting them to the front desk or manager on duty
  • reports any left-behind guest belongings in checkout rooms directly to the front desk and management
  • assists guests by accommodating reasonable requests to enhance their stay
  • follows all safety and security protocols diligently
  • completes all required training through Extended Stay University annually
  • assists in cleaning other hotel areas as assigned by management, including the associate breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and common spaces
  • helps maintain the overall cleanliness of the hotel
  • performs additional duties as assigned by the management team
