Our restaurant is a well-established dining venue known for delivering exceptional service and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We focus on creating memorable experiences for our guests through attentive service, quality food, and a seamless dining environment. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a part-time Host to join our team. Job Requirements
- Must showcase teamwork and communication skills
- Must be able to handle money transactions responsibly
- Must be able to multitask and act quickly
- Must be hospitable and give excellent customer service
- Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required
Job Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple guests and phone calls efficiently
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation systems, preferably 'Resy'
- Previous experience in a restaurant host or customer service role is preferred
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Basic cash handling and transaction processing skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Taking reservations over the phone and in person
- Maintaining a call ahead waitlist
- Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
- Greeting, checking in, and seating guests
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Coordinating with wait staff about incoming reservations and available seating
- Performing opening and closing duties
- Using the reservation operating system 'Resy'
- Answering phones
- Responding to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Providing menu recommendations and additional information
- Checking in guests and verifying or creating new memberships at the door
- Taking To-Go orders and handling their transactions
- Communicating To-Go order details to the kitchen staff
- Assisting in cleaning and resetting tables for the next guests
- Maintaining a clean reception area
- Giving all guests a warm farewell
