Job Description

Xanitos, Inc. is a distinguished management company specializing in providing essential support services to healthcare facilities. Established with the mission to enhance hospital operations, Xanitos offers hospital housekeeping, patient transport, central laundry services, and patient observation services. The company is renowned for its proprietary XRO System, a patented innovation specifically designed to optimize the cleaning process of patient rooms, ensuring a safer and more hygienic environment for patients and staff alike. As a private company, Xanitos places the highest priority on delivering top-quality service, which sets it apart in the healthcare service industry. Its commitment to excellence has yielded measurable improvements in the hospitals it serves, including enhanced cleaning quality, elevated HCHAPS scores that reflect patient satisfaction, minimized risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), reduced bed turnaround times, and significant cost savings. This track record of success underscores Xanitos' dedication to operational excellence and patient care support.

Xanitos is currently seeking part-time Hospital Housekeepers to join its team at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center located in Houston, TX. These positions offer flexible shifts, including 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm with a shift differential of $0.90 per hour. The role is designated for weekends only, offering a competitive hourly pay rate of $15.00. Immediate offers will be extended to candidates who meet the qualifications, reflecting the company's urgent need to bolster housekeeping services critical to maintaining a clean and safe hospital environment.

The Hospital Housekeeper role involves working within various locations on the hospital premises to ensure that all areas remain clean, organized, and well-maintained. Responsibilities encompass cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim; maintaining cleanliness in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other workspaces; and performing duties such as sweeping or vacuuming floors, dusting furniture and equipment, polishing metalwork, washing walls, ceilings, and woodwork, as well as windows, door panels, and sills. Additionally, housekeepers will manage waste by emptying wastebaskets and transporting trash to disposal areas and replenishing bathroom supplies. They will also support the movement of small equipment or tools between departments as needed. This role demands adherence to strict cleaning protocols in medical environments to support infection control and patient safety.

Candidates must be physically capable of meeting job demands, including standing for long periods and frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds. The work environment may expose employees to fumes, airborne particles, and occasional mechanical parts, requiring adherence to safety procedures and possible use of protective gear. Visual acuity with or without corrective lenses is essential to successfully execute cleaning duties. A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required, along with passing a post-offer medical examination, background screening, and drug test. Prior experience in janitorial services or medical cleaning is a plus but not mandatory.
