Job Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of experience using a computer
  • less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
  • supervisory experience including training and coaching employees preferred
  • knowledge of retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • familiarity with store safety and security procedures

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
  • proactively greets and engages with customers
  • assists customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise
  • processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds accurately
  • coaches and provides feedback to associates
  • prepares register area and stocks supplies
  • inspects returned merchandise
  • enters and submits customer orders
  • ensures safety and security by monitoring store exits and detecting theft
  • maintains cleanliness and organization of store
  • operates store equipment as needed
  • answers phone calls and directs messages
  • opens additional registers as necessary
  • assists with line vesting to speed checkout
